Are We Alone?

People have friends, girl/boy friends and best friends. There are families too. I am yet to meet someone who keeps track of how many people on earth he/she knows. Still, I dread this question. Are we really alone?”When it comes to very critical life-and-death matters, who is the person whom you trust?” Almost everyone has an answer to this. But try this one: “When the situation is fairly simple, say, your career, whose decision will you follow?” Most of the people I know will say that they will follow their decisions. This really perturbs me. The fact that one is answerable only to him/her self is very disturbing.

All of us take decisions at every point of life. But almost all of those are self centered. We decide our course of actions thinking what would be best for us. But I strongly feel the absence of someone who is as important to me as myself. When I think so, all relations seem superficial. Parents, friends, no one is going to stay with me forever. No one will be ready to die at the very moment I shut my eyes. I feel I am very alone. All my contacts have been very helpful in making my journey a pleasing one, and no doubt will continue to make, but I am created as a single entity. And thats it.

Not that any one is to be blamed, but this is the way the world functions, and has been functioning since the beginning of time. Scientists seek to find life elsewhere in the universe. Isn’t it amazing that they have been screaming the same question looking deep out there, that each one of us screams at some point, looking deep within us: “Are We Alone?”

It is not necessary to have a never ending relationship which stays forever. More so, as you right say, it is not even possible for anyone to be there for you forever be it family or friend. So the moment you relate ‘being alone’ to not being with someone who is never going to leave, you are not giving yourself a chance to not be alone!!

This is the way we are being created.Meet n depart is a part of life. There are times when i myself have been thinking, why do people dear to you leave you to face the frightening world all alone.
Everyone who comes into our life has a purpose, and a lesson to teach us..
As for me i would like to have someone by my side throughout my life, but this would be impossible i know.
