Boiler
Warm air all around, sweat that covers the eyelids 30 seconds after you wipe them, chair that gets burning hot, water that begins to boil 30 minutes after it’s fetched from the chiller, waking up at 6:30 am due to bright sun falling directly on the bed, pillow that’s soaked with sweat when you wake up in the morning…
That’s my room in Delhi in this pre-monsoon summer.
Update: No water in the hostel. Gaurd called other hostels to check, no water there too.
I feel so proud to be in Bangalore (now known as BengaLOLuru?) now. With cool breeze and controlled heat-n-humidity throughout the day, the weather here is just AWESOME!
Enjoy in Bang, while you still can!
ha ha ha becharaa 😛
Don’t pretend as if Delhi heat is scared to touch you. We are in the same boat madam!
The monsoons should start around this time. Hang in there dude 😀
Hang in here! Dude, I am desperate to leave this place!
Warm air all around, sweat that covers the eyelids _40_ seconds after you wipe them, chair that gets burning hot, water that begins to boil _40_ minutes after it’s fetched from the chiller, waking up at _8:00_ am due to bright sun falling directly on the bed, pillow that’s soaked with sweat when you wake up in the morning…
That’s my room in _Madras_ in this _fucked-up_ summer.
Update: _NO WATER IN MY WING OF THE HOSTEL. All other hostels have water, only mine does not._

Ha ha ha!
Lord Murphy says, “Smile… Chennai will be worse.”
don’t scare me, am coming there in 2 days
Hope the temperature decreases with the arrival of such ‘cool’ people. 😉
Delhi is so cool!
heehee… for once am so proud to be a pune-ite!!
I too would love to be Pune-ite!
yaar itni sahi baat kahi tune… main pichle 3-4 dino se hostel ke lawn pe jaake so raha hoon. Security guard asked me yesterday: “beta tabiyat hai kya?”, Mera itna phira hua tha main jawab diya: “kyu bhaisaab yaha log bimar padne pe ghaas pe lait jaate hai?”. Gaurd nikal liya :P.
The other day raat ke 12 baje tap se garam paani aa raha tha, maine socha yaar itni buri halat toh chennai me bhi nahi hoti.
But strangely I never faced water shortage in karakoram… 🙂
just a correction Security guard asked me yesterday: “beta tabiyat kharab hai kya?”
That says about the extreme!
was cribbing about chennai weather till two days back..its worse here in delhi..dude why didnt you put this post up yesterday..shifted to the iitd hostel today..and after a long hard day with the merciless delhi sun beating down your back, you aren’t even allowed to enjoy the luxury of a bath..
Bath is unnecessary, drinking water is necessary. We are devoid of that!
I reached my hometown Bhuvaneswar yesterday and the same day it started raining ! Maybe you should sponsor me a ticket to Delhi if its worth tath much to you 🙂
I wouldn’t want anyone to bear this. And check mail for blog fundaes!
