Unexpected & Expected Benevolence

I was in Hyderabad few days ago. After years of Chennai is thrust upon you, one seemingly small incident is enough to  make your eyes roll out in disbelief. An auto-wallah agreed to drop us to a place 100 metres away free of cost!

Khali jaa raha hoon, tumhe wahaan tak chhod deta hoon.

When was the last time something even moderately close to that happened in Chennai? But let’s not talk about Chennai at all. Let’s come to the second incident.

I called a friend at 1:15 am, an hour ago. As expected, he was asleep. I woke him up and asked for some help on a recent thing I have caught up with. He was too interested and we talked for about half an hour. The voice in my head that guided me was friendship’s child. And it feels good to see it grow stronger day by day. 🙂

Here you find supremely united cartels of autos idling at the signals. They would prefer to rot there throughout the day over charging passengers a genuine fare.
